nice place to go for a a walk. if you leave nearby. to visit not really. but if you passing by I really recommend it. castle at it self it is not stunning but park/woods around it is beautiful.
Lovely circular walk with hides along the way to look out over the lake. Lots of bat boxes in the trees and benches to sit in along the route. The cafe is lovely (fabulous homemade scones with clotted cream and jam!) And there is a little gift shop. ANPR parking is £4 payable before you leave by cash or card.
These woods are a great nature walk. There's lots of paths to take, brambles to pick and lots of spaces to sit and enjoy the outdoors. £4 parking for the whole day and the shop and cafe are open until 4pm where you can but some plants, logs and other nic nacs.
